Reserve a Computer and Printing Information
Public computers and laptops are available for use at all Brown County Libraries.
Please read the Internet and Public Computer Acceptable Use Policy.
Library patrons with a valid library card may reserve a computer to use in any Library location. The Brown County Library offers free access to the Internet as well as a variety of software applications (see list below). Reserve a computer at the location of your choice through Netloan. All you need is a valid library card number and a PIN. Or, if you forgot your card or are from out of town, guest passes are available for $1.00.
If you prefer a laptop, the library has those, too! Ask at the desk for availability (sorry – no holds permitted and you must be 18 years or older with a library card in good standing) and check one out for use within the library for up to two hours. Please present your library card when checking out a laptop – guest passes cannot be used.
All public library computers run Windows 10 and have the latest version of the following programs installed:
Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer
Adobe Flash Player for Plugin-based browsers
Adobe Acrobat Reader
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 Includes Access, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word
Skype (laptops only)
WebEx Network Recording Player
Printing (color and/or B/W) is available from computers, microfilm readers, and laptops owned by the library for a fee of $0.25 per page.
Coin-op photocopiers (B/W only) cost $0.15 per page.
Customers can fax PERSONAL documents to a private fax number for $2.00 per page. International faxing is not allowed.
There is no charge to scan to a USB or email.
