Learn the steps a cartoonist takes in creating a sequential art page (comic books, web comics, graphic novels) starting from thumbnail sketches to the final “print ready” artwork, including pencils, inks, coloring and lettering. You will see the work of professional artists in various stages and how everyone’s process can also vary.

How to Write Pysanky (Ukrainian Easter Eggs)

Join a demonstration on the traditional Ukrainian art of decorating eggs using wax-resist (batik) techniques. Learn how pysanky are made, hear about the cultural significance, and get a chance to contribute to a community egg.

You don’t need any special skills, just an idea, a sheet of paper, and a copier. In half an hour, you’ll learn everything you need to know to get started along with a bit of zine history as a treat.
