Master GardenerTuesday nights in the Garden
Through October 4, 5:30 – 6:30 pm
(weather allowing)  All ages. 

 

Drop in for an informal tour of the library’s edible garden outdoor classroom.
– Harvest veggies and herbs ready to pick;
– Ask questions about gardening;
– Enjoy scavenger hunts and other informal activities for kids and families;
– Spend a few minutes helping with planting, weeding, or watering in the garden.


 

Pumpkin Land: An Autumn Edible Garden Celebration took place on September 18 and featured pumpkin stories, pumpkin art, a pumpkin fairy, pumpkin treats, a ‘vomiting’ pumpkin experiment, rotting pumpkins and a chance to play on the first section of a life-size Pumpkin Land game (inspired by the classic Candy Land and developed by Proto and UW-Extension Master Gardeners ).

The Cellcom Children’ Edible Garden at the Central Library is enhancing education for children of all ages.This project provides a hands-on learning environment that supports and reinforces literacy and learning.
